Data Collection on this Website

GitHub Pages Hosting

This website is hosted via GitHub Pages. GitHub may automatically collect technical access data when using the website. GitHub Inc. is responsible for processing this data, not the developer of the DvCard app.

As developers of the DvCard app, we have no access to these server logs or other data collected by GitHub.

Mobile Apps

DvCard App

The DvCard app stores all data exclusively locally on your device:

  • Business card data: All contact information you enter (name, position, company, phone, email, website, address) is stored only in the local app database on your device.
  • QR code generation: QR codes are created locally on your device in vCard format. There is no transmission of this data to external servers.
  • App settings: User settings are stored only locally in the app preferences.

Important: No personal data is transmitted to our servers or third parties. All data remains on your device.

Privacy when using QR codes

When you share a QR code generated by the app or have it scanned by others:

  • The QR code contains only the contact data you have released in the standardized vCard format
  • You decide what information you enter in the app and thus make available in the QR code
  • Scanning of the QR code by third parties is outside our sphere of influence

Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to information (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)

Since the DvCard app stores all data only locally, you can manage your data at any time by deleting the app data or uninstalling the app.
